Hi! I'm Stephanie

I have had a lot of different titles and roles over the years - nurse, kinesiologist, athlete, mom - but at my core, I am a coach. I guide and facilitate change, so that people like you can achieve your goals and realize what it feels like to be authentically you. To help you learn about yourself and your body so you feel powerful, worthy, and capable of achieving your dreams.
With a background in nursing and kinesiology, and with over 15 years of experience in the health and wellness industry, I bring a wealth of knowledge and both lived and professional experience in the health arena.
I also have a passion for keeping it simple. If something is too complicated, it doesn't belong in my life, or my coaching. I am here to facilitate authentic growth that takes your life and circumstances into consideration, feels in alignment with what's important to you, and dare I say simple enough to actually stick.
What Sets Me Apart
01
Holistic Health Emphasis
I offer a unified health and well-being approach, based deep health principles, otherwise known as "holistic". This encompasses not just physical health but also mental and emotional well-being, stress management, environmental conditions, as well as social connection. You are a complex individual, with a lot going on!

02
Nursing-Coaching Synergy

My practice is built upon foundational nursing processes, theory, and ethics. This includes a thorough assessment of health status, strategic planning, and implementing interventions tailored to individual needs. I also happen to blend the clinical practice with specialty training in behaviour-change psychology, through advanced training as a master coach. This synergy complements holistic nursing by adding layers of self-awareness strategies, motivational interviewing, and behaviour modification principles.
03
Adherence to Professional Standards
I didn't just wake up yesterday and decide to coach. Oh contraire. I have sought out some of the best training in the industry and invested countless hours of continuing education toward my professional practice. I've also actively maintain registration and certification with numerous professional bodies across Canada, highlighting my commitment to professional standards, responsibility, and ethical practice.
My Story

Let's start with the basics - I am always cold, I love to organize (literally anything), I am passionate about learning and usually have 2-3 courses on the go, and I am the ultimate victim of contagious yawning. Oh and I've always been driven by a deep desire to help others.
When I graduated nursing school (my second degree in health science), I was drawn to the world of community health and the value of health promotion and disease prevention. An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure - isn't that how the saying goes? Taking on an upstream approach to wellness just made sense, and I was on a mission to help others embrace their own power and take control of their lives.

What's ironic was at the time of graduation, I was a registered kinesiologist, certified health coach, a fitness model, and now a registered nurse working in public health (ya, I was busy), but my health was far from ideal. I only ever focused on one thing - the physical. Even then, it was mostly about how I looked on the outside.
It wasn't until I encountered my own challenges with infertility, that my perspective on health took a profound shift. Turns out, I wasn't very healthy afterall. I was plagued with anxiety, confused about who I was and what I wanted, plugged my ears at the mention of nutrition, was a chronic people pleaser, and had a nasty habit of ignoring my body.
This personal experience ignited my curiousity and led me to explore holistic health and the intricate balance between all of the health domains - physical, emotional, mental, environmental, social, and existential.
Today, I use my knowledge and experience to guide others seeking to improve their overall health, embrace healthy habits, and lay the foundation for a healthy future. In my dual roles as a health coach and a nurse, one principle guides me above all: you are in control of your own life. My role is to support you on your journey, helping you clarify your values and priorities so you can authentically pursue what matters most to you.
No cookie cutter programs.
No magic pills or cocktails.
No cleanses. No detoxes. No bootcamps.
Just you (and a bit of guidance from me ).
